A Letter from the Editors

From now on, there’ll be a “Before” and “After.” We planned this issue in late 2019 and early 2020, before we knew what social distancing was, or sang while we washed our hands. It’s a different world now, but one that still needs the beauty, joy, and awe that the arts bring to our lives. After all, who wouldn’t prefer an aria to “Happy Birthday” while they hover over the hand basin?

This issue of We Are GoodEnough Magazine features the work of twenty-five members and alumni from around the world, and across the disciplinary spectrum. Whether professional artists or enthusiastic amateurs, their contributions attest to the depth of talent to which Mecklenburgh Square is home. And in a world that seems both out of control and oddly still, the international artistic exchange in the magazine reminds us that we are, indeed, stronger together.

See the posts entitled “The World on a Square,” “Mind the Gap,” “England, Your England,” “Into the Wild,” and “Home & Away” for this issue’s contents.

To staff and members past, present, and future, happy reading.
